Ford Ice Center Bellevue is Nashville's newest major ice facility, and arguably its most impressive. Opened in October 2019 on the west side of the city, it is a 105,819 square foot twin-rink complex that does not feel like a typical ice rink at all — it feels like a destination.
There is a full-service Predators-themed restaurant inside. A Perani's Hockey World pro shop. A neighboring outdoor Dek hockey rink. A weight room. And two NHL-size sheets of ice that host everything from public skate sessions to competitive youth hockey to the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy's nationally recognized learn-to-skate program.
If you are on the west side of Nashville and looking for ice skating, this is your rink.

- Ages 2 and under: Free at most sessions
For a family of four — two adults, two kids over two — expect to pay $44-55 all-in depending on the session. The cashless policy applies everywhere in the building — no cash accepted anywhere. Come prepared with a card or digital payment.
Cancellations: 24-hour notice required for a refund. Contact Ford Ice Center Bellevue directly through the link on the Predators website.
How to Reserve Your Spot
Like all Ford Ice Center locations, Bellevue requires advance online reservations for public skate. Walk-ins are not available.
How to book:
- Create a free account at fordicecenter.com or download the DaySmart Recreation app
- Select Ford Ice Center Bellevue as your location
- Browse available public skate sessions and choose your time
- Complete payment — your confirmation is your entry ticket
The Bellevue location tends to have slightly more session availability than Antioch on weekends, making it a good backup option if Antioch is booked. That said, popular weekend afternoon slots fill quickly — especially during school breaks and the fall/winter hockey season. Reserve a few days ahead to be safe.
What Makes Bellevue Different
Ford Ice Center Bellevue is not just a rink with some extras bolted on. It was built from the ground up as a full-scale community sports and entertainment facility, and it shows in the details.
Draft Picks Restaurant
The most distinctive feature of Ford Ice Center Bellevue is Draft Picks — a full-service, Predators-themed bar and restaurant located inside the facility. It is the only Predators-themed restaurant in Smashville, and it serves as both a dining destination and a game-watching venue.
Draft Picks is open to the public during facility hours and features:
- A full food menu including game-day staples
- A full bar with adult beverages (21+)
- Multiple screens showing Nashville Predators games with gameday specials
- A family-friendly atmosphere that works for kids and adults alike
For families visiting Ford Ice Bellevue, this changes the calculus of the outing. Rather than grabbing a snack at a concession stand, you can sit down for a real meal before or after skating — which makes the whole visit feel more like an event than a quick rink trip. For adults, catching a Predators game at Draft Picks while the kids skate or attend hockey practice is a genuinely appealing afternoon.
The Dek Hockey Rink
Outdoor and adjacent to the main facility, the Lee Company Dek Hockey Rink is located near Ford Ice Center Bellevue at the neighboring Bellevue Family YMCA. Dek hockey — played on a hard surface with inline skates rather than ice skates — is a popular off-season training option for hockey players and a lower-cost entry point for kids interested in hockey who are not yet ready for the full ice experience.
The Weight Room and Community Center
Ford Ice Center Bellevue sits adjacent to a 47,488 square foot community center that includes a weight room and additional fitness facilities. For serious skaters and hockey players who want to complement their on-ice training with off-ice conditioning, this integration is a genuine advantage.
Perani's Hockey World
Like Ford Ice Antioch, Bellevue hosts a full Perani's Hockey World pro shop — one of the premier hockey equipment retailers in the country. The in-house Perani's location offers skate sales, skate sharpening, equipment fitting, and a full range of hockey and skating accessories.
If you are a west Nashville or suburban resident ready to buy your first pair of personal ice skates, the Perani's at Ford Ice Bellevue is one of the best places in the area to do it. The staff can fit you properly across both figure and hockey skate styles and help you choose the right boot stiffness and blade setup for where you are in your skating development.
What to Expect When You Arrive
Ford Ice Center Bellevue sits on Highway 70 South in the Bellevue corridor of west Nashville — easy to find and well-signposted from the road.
Arrive at the main entrance, check in at the front desk with your reservation confirmation, and proceed to the skate rental counter near the rink entrance. Hand over your shoes, pick up your skates.
The rink area is modern, clean, and spacious. Two NHL-size sheets means sessions rarely feel overcrowded. Spectator seating is available for non-skating guests who want to watch.
Temperature: The ice area runs around 55-60 degrees. Bring a layer regardless of the outside temperature — the contrast from a warm Nashville day to the rink chill is significant.
Parking: Free parking is available in the lot surrounding the facility. Ample space even on busy weekends.
Learn to Skate Programs
Ford Ice Center Bellevue is home to the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy's Learn to Skate program, the same curriculum-based instruction offered at the Antioch location. The program is widely regarded as one of the best learn-to-skate programs in the South and has produced skaters who have gone on to competitive figure skating and hockey.
Program structure:
- 6-week sessions with one class per week
- Unlimited public skate access during the session for registered athletes
- Classes grouped by skill level and age range: Tots (ages 3-5), Youth (ages 6-15), Adults (ages 16+)
- Progression through Learn to Skate USA skill levels
Current pricing: Standard 6-week registration runs approximately $150. New skater discounts are periodically available — the Gold Medal Special launched after the 2026 Olympics offered 50% off registration for new skaters. Check the Ford Ice Center website for current promotions before paying full price.
Nashville Predators Season Ticket Citizens receive 15% off registration.
Spring 2026 session: Spring 1 at Antioch and Bellevue runs through April 11, 2026. Registration for Spring 2 will be posted on the Ford Ice website as the session end date approaches.
The Bellevue location is particularly well-suited for west Nashville and suburban families in Bellevue, Brentwood, Franklin, and the surrounding areas who want to avoid the longer drive to Antioch or downtown.
Figure Skating Programs
Ford Ice Center Bellevue offers dedicated figure skating programming through the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy, separate from the general learn-to-skate program.
For skaters who catch the bug from public skating or learn-to-skate lessons and want to develop actual figure skating technique — edges, jumps, spins, programs — Ford Ice Bellevue provides the pathway. Available programs include:
Freestyle sessions: Practice ice specifically for figure skaters working on jumps and spins, with music. Requires advance reservation. Available at varying levels based on skill.
Private coaching: Independent figure skating coaches operate at Ford Ice Bellevue and are available for one-on-one lessons. If your child is showing genuine aptitude and interest in figure skating beyond the group lesson level, connecting with a private coach at the Bellevue location is the next step.
USFS Basic Skills program: The standard national curriculum for figure skating skill development, offered through the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy at Bellevue.
Youth Hockey Programs
Ford Ice Center Bellevue serves as home ice for several Nashville Junior Predators teams and hosts youth hockey leagues, camps, and development programs year-round.
G.O.A.L. Program: The free Nashville Predators youth hockey introduction series — available at Bellevue as at other Ford Ice locations — for boys and girls ages 4-8 with no prior experience. Participants receive equipment to use during the program, a hockey jersey to keep, and certified on-ice instruction. One of the best free sports programs for young kids in Nashville.
Learn to Play: The bridge program between pure skating skills and hockey fundamentals. For kids who have completed basic Learn to Skate levels and want to transition into actual hockey.
Youth Leagues: Age-grouped competitive and recreational youth hockey leagues operating through the Junior Predators organization. Registration information and current season schedules are on the Ford Ice Center website.
Adult Programs
Adult Learn to Skate: Structured learn-to-skate instruction designed specifically for adults — separate from youth classes, at an adult-appropriate pace. Available for complete beginners through intermediate levels.
Adult Hockey Leagues: Year-round recreational and competitive adult hockey leagues at multiple skill levels. For adults who played hockey growing up and want to get back on the ice, or adults who learned to skate and want to try the sport.
Open Hockey / Stick and Puck: Drop-in ice time for hockey players to practice freely. Requires advance reservation.
Birthday Parties
Ford Ice Center Bellevue offers the same birthday party packages as Antioch — the Powerplay Package at $200 for up to 10 guests, including party room, food, drinks, skate admission, and Nashville Predators tickets. Contact 615-770-2148 for Bellevue birthday party bookings.
The Draft Picks restaurant adds an extra dimension to birthday celebrations at Bellevue that the Antioch location does not have — the option to extend the party into a sit-down restaurant meal with the Predators branding and atmosphere. For hockey-loving families, this is hard to beat as a birthday venue.
Getting There
Ford Ice Center Bellevue sits on Highway 70 South, the main corridor through the Bellevue neighborhood of west Nashville.
Address: 7638 Highway 70 S, Nashville, TN 37221
From downtown Nashville, take I-40 West toward Memphis. Take exit 199 for Old Hickory Boulevard South, then follow Highway 70 South west through Bellevue. Ford Ice Center is on the right side of the road, clearly visible. Drive time from downtown is approximately 20-25 minutes.
From Brentwood and Franklin, take I-65 North to I-40 West, then follow the same route. Drive time from Cool Springs is roughly 25-30 minutes.
From the western suburbs and Cheatham County, Highway 70 runs directly to the facility. It is the most accessible Ford Ice location for residents west of Nashville.
Ford Ice Bellevue vs. Other Nashville Rinks
vs. Centennial Sportsplex: Centennial and Ford Ice now both route public-skate visitors through online booking systems. Bellevue lists matinee and evening pricing in DaySmart and offers a modern facility with extensive hockey programming. Compare the current Centennial and Bellevue sessions before choosing.
vs. Ford Ice Antioch: Both are Ford Ice locations with identical pricing and programming. Antioch is better positioned for south Nashville residents, while Bellevue serves west Nashville and the suburbs better. Session availability can vary — if one is booked, check the other.
